“THERE IS A CRACK, A CRACK IN EVERYTHING. THAT'S HOW THE LIGHT GETS INâ€
It is perhaps a cruel coincidence that Leonard Cohen died the day before Donald Trump was elected to America 91ÖÆƬ³§ ’s highest office. Cohen 91ÖÆƬ³§ ’s music, poetry, and protest songs captured elements of a universal human experience, cherishing the very perfection of our imperfections. Steeped in social commentary and piercing insights, his words and music weave a common thread through disparate human experiences and shine a light on our commonalities. Toronto 91ÖÆƬ³§ ’s Art of Time Ensemble has gathered a group of artists—singers, musicians, and authors—with a profound love and respect for Leonard Cohen 91ÖÆƬ³§ ’s work, to pay tribute to his legacy. Performances of Cohen 91ÖÆƬ³§ ’s music by singers Steven Page, Sarah Slean, Tom Wilson, and Gregory Hoskins, are presented in special arrangements for the Ensemble and paired with commentary, anecdotes, and readings by a selection of top Canadian writers.
*Seating for this performance is General Admission
