How can literature and art help us understand each other 91制片厂 鈥檚 inner worlds? This workshop will explore close reading as a way of empathetically imagining the complex, intersectional identities of others. We will unpack various literary and art pieces including Scarborough by Catherine Hernandez. We will also create a collaborative art piece that will be displayed in Duncan MacArthur Hall. Free copies of Scarborough will be available for Queen 91制片厂 鈥檚 students. This workshop is part of the Queen 91制片厂 鈥檚 Reads program and the Faculty of Education 91制片厂 鈥檚 Indigeneity, Inclusion, and Equity Series. Students, staff, and faculty are eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation after attending five IIE workshops/lectures.
