Conciliation Update

Representatives of 91ÖÆƬ³§ and the 91ÖÆƬ³§ Faculty Association (QUFA), along with a provincially-appointed conciliator, will meet in conciliation beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17, 2023. This is part of the normal collective bargaining process.

The 91ÖÆƬ³§ Faculty Association (QUFA) held their Fall General Meeting on Thursday, December 15, 2022. At that meeting, QUFA initiated a member vote seeking a strike mandate. Polls opened at 3 PM December 15 and closed today at 3 PM.

Representatives of the 91ÖÆƬ³§ Faculty Association (QUFA) have ended their participation in mediation talks with the University 91ÖÆƬ³§ ’s team aimed at renewing the collective agreement for faculty, librarians, and archivists.
University and QUFA engage the services of a mediator to assist in bargaining discussions

Representatives of the University and the 91ÖÆƬ³§ Faculty Association (QUFA) have agreed to mediation to help them in their efforts to negotiate a renewed collective agreement for faculty, librarians, and archivists.
University and QUFA apply jointly for conciliation and will engage the services of a mediator in the interim

Representatives of the University and QUFA agreed on November 11th to apply jointly to the Ministry of Labour requesting the appointment of a conciliator to assist the Parties in connection with the negotiation of a renewed collective agreement.
