    Myrtle celebrates her 100th birthday. Daughters Barbara Armstrong (Sc’78) and Margaret Armstrong (Sc’87), and granddaughters Christine Fiedler and Ingrid Fiedler helped her celebrate. Myrtle has fond recollections of Ban Righ Hall, registrar Jean Royce, and running as a CCF (NDP) candidate in the federal election while a Queen 91ÖĆƬł§ ’s undergrad. Myrtle attended the London School of Economics and did further PhD studies at University of Toronto. She taught economics and later started – and ran – a successful real estate appraisal business.

  • Andrzej Antoszkiewicz, Class Note

    Andrzej Antoszkiewicz

    Andrzej has been appointed associate vice-president for corporate services at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, a UN-specialized agency and international financial institution. He leads IFAD 91ÖĆƬł§ ’s corporate functions, supporting its global development operations, and is the most senior Canadian at the organization. Andrzej previously served as chief operating officer at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID). He has also held senior leadership roles with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), FĂ©dĂ©ration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

    Brian, an Australian, graduated from Queen 91ÖĆƬł§ ’s with a Master of Science in Engineering. He has since made important contributions in Australia to traffic engineering and regional planning. For his achievements in these fields he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal on Australia Day, January 26, 2026.

    Dave is alive, kicking, and still working as director of redevelopment for the Weeneebaykko Area Health Authority in Moosonee, helping to construct a new Healthcare Campus to serve the remote communities along the west coast of James Bay.

    Nathan Nurse

    Spring 2026

    Building on the strong scientific and research foundation established at Queen 91ÖĆƬł§ ’s, Nathan completed a M.Sc. in Energy Policy with distinction at the University of Sussex in 2024. In November of 2025, he published a first- in the Q1-ranked journal, Energy Research & Social Science, titled, "From the C-suite to the sea suite: Rethinking frontier offshore petroleum amid ESG and climate change realities." He credits his time at Queen's for contributing to what is now a passion for responsible energy development and transition. His work as a senior research consultant is focused on navigating the intersection of traditional energy sectors and the global net-zero transition. Nathan specializes in translating complex regulatory and policy landscapes into operational reality, conducting high-stakes gap analyses, and building risk-based integrated management systems that align senior leadership objectives with industrial performance and continuous improvement.

    Jacey joined Weber Gallagher this past winter as a partner in the firm 91ÖĆƬł§ ’s Miami office. “Jacey 91ÖĆƬł§ ’s arrival marks an important milestone in our continued expansion in South Florida. A nationally recognized trial lawyer, Jacey brings decades of experience representing clients in the retail, restaurant, hospitality, auto, trucking, and service industries, with a practice concentrating on general liability and casualty matters. He has earned sustained recognition for excellence in defense litigation, and has been named to Best Lawyers in America® for Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants from 2013–2026. He also holds an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for professional excellence and ethical standards. He has also been twice commended by the Florida Supreme Court for his service to the Guardian Ad Litem Program.
