91ÖÆÆ¬³§ presents Science Rendezvous Kingston – bringing science out of the lab and into the community

This Saturday, May 9 marks the return of Science Rendezvous Kingston, one of Canada 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ ’s longest running and successful science, technology, engineering and mathematics pop-up discovery centres. The family-friendly and free event brings together the Kingston community with local Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math experts (STEM), and Queen 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ ’s researchers.
Faculty, staff, and students from 91ÖÆÆ¬³§, along with community partners will provide visitors with hands-on demonstrations, awe-inspiring exhibits, and fun experiments. A total of 60 interactive booths will feature a wide range of activities and interactive displays.

Special Attractions:
- 10:30 am – Smashing Strawberries: watch as real DNA is extracted from strawberries
- Noon – Phenomenal Physics: exploring the power of magnetism and motion
- 2 pm – Chemistry Magic Show: everyday substances are transformed through colourful reactions, flashes and fizzes
Accessibility Feature: The Sensory Friendly Science Zone returns, offering a calming space with exclusive activities such as a wave tank and a fossil dig sandbox – designed to support visitors with sensory processing needs.
Getting There: Free parking is available at Fort Henry, with a complimentary Kingston Trolley providing transportation to and from Slush Puppie Place between 9:30 am and 3 pm.
