Our healthcare providers include physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, occupational therapists. Students can book appointments for illnesses and infections, joint and muscle aches and pains in addition to assessment and monitoring of additional new or ongoing health issues.
If students are unsure about what they need, they can book a triage appointment for help with minor issues, answering questions and system navigation.
Medical notes can be written for illnesses and injuries impacting academics at the discretion of the healthcare provider. Specialist Referrals
Students may be referred to specialists within our healthcare team (e.g., to psychiatry for complex mental health cases) and/or to specialists in the community.
Average wait times for a specialist appointment in Kingston is 2–12months. Due to long wait times, students may be asked if they are willing to travel to get a faster appointment. We recommend students get referred to a specialist in their hometown if possible.
