Janelle would like to thank the Queen 91��Ƭ�� ’s community for their support of her last class note announcement regarding the founding of Canada 91��Ƭ�� ’s first outdoor adventure subscription box for kids, Wild Life Outdoor Adventures, in March 2020. The Dragon 91��Ƭ�� ’s Den episode that was filmed

last summer will air this fall. In addition, Wild Life Adventures recently won a Tillywig Toy & Media Award for “Parents’ Favourite Toy.”

Justin, a proud Queen 91��Ƭ�� ’s graduate, would like to share that he is the 2021 recipient of the Educator of the Year award from Special Olympics Ontario. He was very involved in the Special Olympics while in Kingston, and he attributes much of his success as a special education teacher and Special Olympics volunteer to what he learned at Queen 91��Ƭ�� ’s.

Drew Cormier, Sc'11, MBA'12, left his job at Google Trust & Safety after nine years of protecting users and improving the web in general. His accomplishments included stopping botnets, investigating online scams, curbing online terrorist propaganda, advocating for victims of non-consensual adult imagery, and launching two new operations during his tenure. He 91��Ƭ�� ’s moving on to join a pre-IPO startup and continuing his career in the trust and safety landscape with the aim of protecting a new user base from online misinformation and disinformation.

Congratulations to Alexie, who has recently been appointed University of Toronto 91��Ƭ�� ’s associate vice-president and vice-provost, international student experience. Alexie was well travelled during his academic career, having studied in Cameroon, the United Kingdom, and later in Kingston. Along with his other credentials, Alexie applies his direct experience as an international student to his role, offering his insight into the needs of students who are new to studying in Canada.

She was known as Christine Douglas back in her Queen 91��Ƭ�� ’s days. She goes by Christine Wright now and celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary on Sept. 4. Ten years ago, Christine moved to Houston, Texas. She is an international wedding photographer (Swish & Click Photography), published in People, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Scary Mommy, PopSugar, and Yahoo. She has no human children but one furry one named Minerva.

Sofi Papamarko and partner Lawrence Koch welcomed their daughter, Lena Rose, on April 14.
